How to Start a Phone Sex Call: First 60 Seconds Guide

How to start a phone sex call: your first line, your pace and your tone decide how long he stays. A 60-second opening guide for operators.

Creator Resources

A woman in sunglasses lies on a bed and starts a phone sex call on a vintage phone.

Most callers decide how long they're staying before the first minute is up. Not consciously — but by sixty seconds in, he's either settling into his chair or already thinking about hanging up.

Speak first

When the line connects, don't wait for him. A silent beat followed by "hello?" puts him in charge of starting a scene he called you to start. Have your first line ready before you pick up, and say it the moment you hear him.

The strong version tells him where you are, what you're doing, and that you're glad he called. He has something to react to before he's said a word.

Slow down

Nerves make everyone talk fast, callers included. If you match his speed, the whole call feels rushed. Drop your pace to about two-thirds of your normal talking speed and leave a short pause after your first line. He'll slow down to meet you, and a slower call is a longer call.

Warm, not loud

Volume reads as performance. Warmth reads as attention. Talk like he's close — closer to the mic, lower in your range, a little breath in it. You want him to feel he walked into a room, not onto a stage.

Ask one easy question

After your opener, give him one question he can answer without thinking: "Long day?" or "Where are you calling from right now?" Whatever he says, you now have your first offer to "yes, and."
